Impact of Climate and Glacier Evolution in Southwest Monsoon Region on Resources and Sustainable Development in Lijiang-Yulong Snow Mountain Region Project is a major research program of "Environmental and Ecological Science in Western China" sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation. The person in charge is a researcher from He Yuanqing, Institute of Environment and Engineering in Cold and Arid Regions, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The project runs from January 2004 to December 2006. This project collects data: the data of Yulong Snow Mountain Glacier and Environment Observation and Research Station are compiled in word document, and the data content includes: 1. Meteorological data of the test station of Yulong Snow Mountain Glacier Observation Room From 2000 to 2008, the daily average temperature (℃), daily precipitation (mm), daily average relative humidity, daily average sunshine hours, daily air pressure value and daily average wind speed of the base camp weather station. The data set includes the trends of annual average temperature and rainfall changes at the three meteorological stations in the permafrost section of the Qinghai-Tibet Engineering Corridor over the past 50 years. According to the recorded data, the annual average temperature is experiencing a gradually rising process. The annual average temperature change over the past 56 years in Wudaoliang and Tuotuohe has a good correlation (r2=0.83). In 1957, the average annual temperatures of Wudaoliang and Tuotuohe were -6.6 °C and -5.1 °C, respectively. By 2012, the temperatures of the two stations were -4.6 and -3.1 °C, and the total temperature has risen by approximately 2 °C. The annual average temperature rises by 0.03-0.04 °C. The annual average temperature changes over the past 47 years in Wudaoliang and Anduo also have a good correlation (r2=0.84). In 1966, the average annual temperature in Anduo was -3.0 °C. By 2012, the temperature has risen to -1.8 °C, corresponding to a total temperature rise of approximately 1.2 °C and an annual average temperature rise of 0.02-0.03 °C. The annual average temperature in Wudaoliang and Tuotuohe rose slightly faster than that in Anduo. However, the change in rainfall was more volatile than that of temperature. The correlation between the rainfall change in Wudaoliang and Tuotuohe over the past 56 years is relatively poor (r2=0.60). In 1957, the annual rainfall amounts in Wudaoliang and Tuotuohe were 302 and 309 mm, respectively. By 2012, the annual rainfall amounts at the two stations were 426 and 332 mm. Thus, the rainfall in Wudaoliang had increased by 124 mm, with an annual rainfall increase of approximately 2 mm. In contrast, the annual rainfall in Tuotuohe only increased by 0.4 mm. The correlation between the rainfall change in Wudaoliang and Anduo over the past 47 years is also poor (r2=0.35). In 1966, and 2012, the annual average rainfall amounts in Anduo were 354 and 404 mm. The total increase was approximately 50 mm, and the annual average increase was 1 mm. The annual rainfall in Wudaoliang increased the fastest. The observation data from the three meteorological stations reveal climate changes in the permafrost sections of the Qinghai-Tibet Engineering Corridor. Judging from the overall trend of temperature and rainfall changes, the temperature in the northern and central parts of the corridor has increased rapidly over the past 50 years, exceeding the global average of 0.02 °C/a (IPCC). The rainfall increase in the northern part of the corridor is also obvious, especially the rate of rainfall increase at the Wudaoliang meteorological station. Increases in both temperature and rainfall have a great impact on accelerating the spatial variation in permafrost, and they are the leading cause of permafrost degradation on the Tibetan Plateau.

This dataset contains the automatic weather station (AWS) measurements from site No.14 in the flux observation matrix from 6 May to 21 September, 2012. The site (100.35310° E, 38.85867° N) was located in a cropland (maize surface) in Yingke irrigation district, which is near Zhangye, Gansu Province. The elevation is 1570.23 m. The installation heights and orientations of different sensors and measured quantities were as follows: air temperature and humidity (HMP45D; 5 m, towards north), air pressure (CS100; 2 m), rain gauge (TE525M; 10 m), wind speed and direction (034B; 10 m, towards north), a four-component radiometer (CNR4; 6 m, towards south), two infrared temperature sensors (IRTC3; 6 m, vertically downward), soil temperature profile (AV-10T; 0, -0.02, -0.04, -0.1, -0.2, -0.4, -0.6, and -1.0 m), soil moisture profile (ECh2o-5; -0.02, -0.04, -0.1, -0.2, -0.4, -0.6, and -1.0 m), and soil heat flux (HFT3; 3 duplicates with one below the vegetation and the other between plants, 0.06 m). The observations included the following: air temperature and humidity (Ta_5 m and RH_5 m) (℃ and %, respectively), air pressure (press, hpa), precipitation (rain, mm), wind speed (Ws_10 m, m/s), wind direction (WD_10 m, °), four-component radiation (DR, incoming shortwave radiation; UR, outgoing shortwave radiation; DLR_Cor, incoming longwave radiation; ULR_Cor, outgoing longwave radiation; Rn, net radiation; W/m^2), infrared temperature (IRT_1 and IR_2, ℃), soil heat flux (Gs_1, below the vegetation; Gs_2 and Gs_3, W/m^2), soil temperature profile (Ts_0 cm, Ts_2 cm, Ts_4 cm, Ts_10 cm, Ts_20 cm, Ts_40 cm, Ts_60 cm, and Ts_100 cm, ℃), and soil moisture profile (Ms_2 cm, Ms_4 cm, Ms_10 cm, Ms_20 cm, Ms_40 cm, Ms_60 cm, and Ms_100 cm, %). The data processing and quality control steps were as follows. (1) The AWS data were averaged over intervals of 10 min; therefore, there were 144 records per day. The missing data were filled with -6999. (2) Data in duplicate records were rejected. (3) Unphysical data were rejected. (4) In this dataset, the time of 0:10 corresponds to the average data for the period between 0:00 and 0:10; the data were stored in *.xlsx format. (5) Finally, the naming convention was AWS+ site no. The average soil temperature, soil heat flux, soil temperature and soil moisture were missing during 30 November, 2012 and 8 December, 2012, 21 April, 2013 and 31 May, 2013 because of insufficient power supply; Wind speed in 2 m and 5 m were missing during 28 December, 2012 and 28 March, 2012 because of datalogger repairing. The missing data were denoted by -6999. (2) Data in duplicate records were rejected. (3) Unphysical data were rejected. (4) The data marked in red are problematic data. (5) The format of the date and time was unified, and the date and time were collected in the same column, for example, date and time: 2013-6-10 10:30. (6) the naming rule is: AWS+ site name. The strong spatial and temporal changes of precipitation often make it impossible to accurately know the spatial distribution and intensity changes of precipitation during the precipitation observation of conventional foundation stations. Satellite microwave remote sensing can overcome this limitation and achieve global scale precipitation and cloud observation. Compared with infrared/visible light, which can only reflect cloud thickness and cloud height, microwave can penetrate the cloud, and also use the interaction between precipitation and cloud particles in the cloud and microwave to detect the cloud and rain more directly. This data use the surface precipitation, obtained by the DPR double wave band precipitation radar carried by GPM, as the true value, soil temperature/humidity of NDVI, DEM and ERA5 as reference data. And the multi-band passive brightness temperature data of GMI is used to invert the instantaneous precipitation intensity during the warm season (May-September) in Tibetan Plateau, then the result is re-sampled to the spatial resolution of 0.1°and accumulated them to a day.

The North American Multi-Model Ensemble (NMME) Forecast is a multi-modal ensemble seasonal forecasting system jointly published by the US Model Center (including NOAA/NCEP, NOAA/GFDL, IRI, NCAR, and NASA) and the Canadian Meteorological Centre. The data include retrieval data from 1982 to 2010 and real-time weather forecast data from 2011 to the present. The forecasting system covers the whole world with a temporal resolution of one month and a horizontal spatial resolution of 1°. The monthly precipitation data set of China's alpine mountains includes the qilian mountains (1960-2013), tianshan mountains (1954-2013) and Yangtze river source (1957-2014). The distributed hydrological model needs high-precision spatial distribution information of precipitation as input.Because of the scarcity of stations, the precipitation interpolation at stations cannot reflect the spatial distribution of precipitation in the alpine mountainous areas.Generation method of this dataset: (1) collect precipitation data of national meteorological stations and hydrological stations in various regions, and add precipitation observation data of field stations of Chinese academy of sciences above an altitude of 4000m; (2) use the temperature data of each station to correct the collected precipitation data of different precipitation types; (3) establish the relationship between precipitation data and altitude, longitude and latitude, and fit monthly to generate monthly precipitation data set of 1km scale. The interpolation year of this data is 1954-2014. The data projection method is Albers projection. The spatial interpolation precision is 1-km, and the time precision is monthly data.The results show that the interpolation precipitation is reliable. The data is stored in ASCII files. The file names of the monthly precipitation data files of tianshan mountain and Yangtze river source are in the form yyyymm.txt. YYYY is the year and MM is the month.The monthly precipitation data of qilian mountain is named as: month_10001.txt, this file is the precipitation data of January 1960, successively month_10002.txt is the precipitation of February 1960, and month_10013.txt is the precipitation data of January 1961,......Month_10648.txt represents the precipitation data for December 2013.Each ASCII file represents the grid precipitation data of the day in mm.

Interaction "heihe region in field observation experiment (HEIFE)", is in the heihe river basin in hexi corridor in the middle of a 70 km by 90 km range of experimental zone for the center with water and heat exchange of a very comprehensive experiment, the interaction is the current international field the longest continuous observation on the land surface process experiment, has obtained the Eurasia hinterland typical in heihe river basin, gobi desert and oasis in arid regions different underlaying surface, such as solar radiation, atmospheric boundary layer meteorological data and oasis of meteorological data, and collect the conventional meteorological and hydrological data in the region,It has laid the foundation of observation experiment for theoretical study of land surface processes in arid areas. The heihe experimental database (HDB) (tao zehong and zuo hongchao, 1994a) comprehensively collected and systematically integrated the field observation data of heihe experiment.In the database, all observation data are divided into three categories according to the nature and purpose of observation: Category 1: normal observation period (FOP) data.It includes :(1) observation data of 5 micrometeorological stations and 5 automatic meteorological stations;(2) groundwater level data observed at four well stations;(3) distribution of blowing sand and dust and ozone observation data;(4) conventional observation data of 3 upper-air weather stations, 3 surface weather stations, 4 hydrology stations, some rain measuring stations and downhole water stations. The second category: enhanced observation period (IOP) data.It includes: observations of turbulence, tethered balloons, Sodar, Lidar, soil moisture content and composition during each strengthening period (PlOP, IOP-1, lop-2, IOP-3, IOP-4). The third category is special observation period data, which includes: biological meteorological observation (BOP), precipitation mechanism observation (iop-r) in arid areas, turbulence contrast observation (iop-c), supplementary observation data of deserts far from the oasis (iop-da) and observation data of sand sample experiment.Please refer to HEIFE database user manual for more detailed information (tao zehong et al., 1994b).
