The meteorological field is located at 3200m above sea level in Pailugou watershed of Qilian Mountain, which belongs to the high mountain forest line zone, the ecotone of Picea crassifolia forest and alpine shrub. This data set includes precipitation, air temperature, radiation, wind speed, etc., with units are mm, ℃, W/m^2 and m/s respectively. The date of data recording is from June 2012 to October 2013, in which the temperature data is partially missing due to the instrument.

This data set is the multispectral data used to retrieve 30 meter Lai and fAPAR products in 2012. It is obtained by the environmental satellite CCD sensor with a resolution of 30 m and four bands. This data set has been geometric corrected, radiometric corrected and converted into reflectivity image.

The Land Surface Temperature in China STC dataset contains land surface temperature data for China (about 9.6 million square kilometers of land) during the period of 2003-2017, in Celsius, in monthly temporal and 5600 m spatial resolution. It is produced by combing MODIS daily data(MOD11C1 and MYD11C1), monthly data(MOD11C3 and MYD11C3) and meteorological station data to reconstruct real LST under cloud coverage in monthly LST images, and then a regression analysis model is constructed to further improve accuracy in six natural subregions with different climatic conditions.

The dataset of airborne WiDAS mission was obtained in the Linze station-Linze grassland flight zone on Jul. 11, 2008. Intra-band data available for general users include Level-2C data (after geometric, radiometric and atmospheric corrections), Level-1B browse image (after intra-band matching) and Level-2B browse image (after registration). The raw data, Level-1A, and data processing parameters were filed; applications would be evaluated prior to access. Data processing started in Aug. 2008 and ended in Apr. 2009, and in Nov. 2009, CCD data were reprocessed to adjust radiometric calibration. Silicon dioxide is replaced by the value of Si in the solution.

The dataset of runoff plot observations was obtained in the Binggou watershed foci experimental area from Jun. 19 to Oct. 17, 2008. The runoff plot (38°03′, 100°13′, 3472m, with a slope of 20.16°) was 10m long, 5m wide and 80cm deep, with soil depth about 50cm and sandy clay and gravels beneath (50-80cm). The main vegetation type is scrub (about 20cm high) and grass (about 3cm high). Observation items included the surface flow, interflow (80cm down the land surface), and precipitation at a fixed point at the right of the runoff plot. One subfolder and two data files (directions on data observations and raw data) were archived.

This dataset contains the flux measurements from the Yakou station eddy covariance system (EC) in the upper stream reaches of the Heihe integrated observatory network from January 1 to December 31 in 2018. The site (100.2421° E, 38.0142° N) was located in the Qilian County in Qinghai Province. The elevation is 4148 m. The EC was installed at a height of 3.2 m, and the sampling rate was 10 Hz. The sonic anemometer faced north, and the separation distance between the sonic anemometer and the CO2/H2O gas analyzer (CSAT3&Li7500A) was 0.15 m. The raw data acquired at 10 Hz were processed using the Eddypro post-processing software, including the spike detection, lag correction of H2O/CO2 relative to the vertical wind component, sonic virtual temperature correction, coordinate rotation (2-D rotation), corrections for density fluctuation (Webb-Pearman-Leuning correction), and frequency response correction. The EC data were subsequently averaged over 30 min periods. The observation data quality was divided into three classes according to the quality assessment method of stationarity (Δst) and the integral turbulent characteristics test (ITC): class 1-3 (high quality), class 4-6 (good), class 7-8 (poor, better than gap filling data), class9 (rejected). In addition to the above processing steps, the half-hourly flux data were screened in a four-step procedure: (1) data from periods of sensor malfunction were rejected; (2) data collected before or after 1 h of precipitation were rejected; (3) incomplete 30 min data were rejected when the missing data constituted more than 3% of the 30 min raw record. There were 48 records per day, and the missing data were replaced with -6999. Suspicious data were marked in red. The power loss occurs occasionally at this site. Data during May 24 to June 21, 2018 were missing due to the insufficient pow supply. The released data contained the following variables: data/time, wind direction (Wdir, °), wind speed (Wnd, m/s), the standard deviation of the lateral wind (Std_Uy, m/s), virtual temperature (Tv, ℃), H2O mass density (H2O, g/m3), CO2 mass density (CO2, mg/m3), friction velocity (ustar, m/s), stability (z/L), sensible heat flux (Hs, W/m2), latent heat flux (LE, W/m2), carbon dioxide flux (Fc, mg/ (m2s)), quality assessment of the sensible heat flux (QA_Hs), quality assessment of the latent heat flux (QA_LE), and quality assessment of the carbon flux (QA_Fc). In this dataset, the time of 0:30 corresponds to the average data for the period between 0:00 and 0:30; the data were stored in *.xls format. The coordinate system is equal latitude and longitude projection, and the spatial scope is heihe river basin.The data is given in TXT text form, and the longitude, latitude and annual precipitation corresponding to the spatial grid point are given respectively.The unit of longitude and latitude is °, and the unit of precipitation is mm.The data type is a single-precision floating-point type with an invalid value of -9.

BJ-1 dataset includes 11 scenes, covering the upper and middle reaches of the Heihe river basin, which were acquired on 10-21-2007, 11-19-2007, 01-09-2008, 03-03-2008, 04-04-2008, 04-16-2008, 05-01-2008, 05-16-2008, 07-01-2008, 07-06-2008 and 07-08-2008. The sensor was MSI, substar resolution was 32m, fov was 22.06°, the orbit was 686km high and the dip angle was 98.1725°, the focal distance was 150mm, CCD pixel was 7μm, the near infrared band was 760nm-900nm, red wave band was 630nm-690nm and green wave band was 520nm-620nm. The data version is Level 2, which was released after geometric correction. BJ-1 dataset was acquired from "Dragon Programme" (grant number: 5322).
LI Xin
The Landsat TM Mosaic Image of the Heihe River Basin can be effectively applied to monitoring land-use change of the basin, which reflects the current situation of the Heihe River Basin in 2010, and provides a reliable basis for ecological planning and restoration. This mosaic image collected the TM images released by the USGS for free in 2010 (data from July to September 2010, totally 21 scenes, the maximum cloud amount is less than 10%), and the preprocessed images were geometrically registered by topographic maps(polynomial geometry correction method), then a geometrically-corrected digital mosaic map was generated, which was of high quality after a certain accuracy evaluation. The images were stored in ERDAS IMG format, and the most abundant bands 5, 4 and 3 combination, with three colors: red, green, and blue were selected to generate a color composite image. The combined composite image not only is similar to natural color, which is more in accordance with people's visual habits, but also can fully display the differences in image features because of the rich amount of information.

From 1947 to 1948, the Hexi Water Conservancy Project Corps of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of China compiled the Heihe Mainstream Water Conservancy Project (15 items). This is the first comprehensive engineering plan compiled by the whole basin based on modern hydraulic engineering principles. This batch of planning mainly focus on irrigation projects, taking into account inter-basin water transfer and flood control projects. Most of these projects achieved varying degrees of realization after 1949, but the plan to introduce the Datong River into the Heihe River has never been implemented. The collection of hydrological and socioeconomic data in these documents was mostly completed during the Anti-Japanese War, and was completed by the Gansu Irrigation Works, Plantation and Pasturage Company. It is the earliest and systematic data of the basin. It has irreplaceable value for analyzing and understanding the water conservancy development and socio-economic situation of the Heihe River mainstream during the Republic of China. The main contents of this data include Zhangye, Shandan, Minle, Linze, Gaotai reservoir projects, groundwater interception and irrigation projects, surface runoff irrigation projects, irrigation canal system consolidation projects and other plans.

Sketch map of 1:50000 geological map of hulugou small watershed in 2012, hulugou watershed is composed of Quaternary loose stratum and pre Cenozoic bedrock stratum. The pores of the bedrock stratum are mainly fissures and covered with thin residual slope deposits. The Pleistocene alluvial proluvial sand gravel layer (q3al + PL) above the piedmont plain is dominant. The loose formation in the front of the glacier is Holocene moraine gravel layer (q4gl), which is distributed under the modern cirque and forms lateral moraine and final moraine dike (ridge).

This dataset contains the flux measurements from the Daman superstation eddy covariance system (EC) at the highest layer in the flux observation matrix from 30 May to 15 September, 2012. The site (100.37223° E, 38.85551° N) was located in a cropland (maize surface) in Daman irrigation district, which is near Zhangye, Gansu Province. The elevation is 1556.06 m. The EC was installed at a height of 34 m; the sampling rate was 10 Hz. The sonic anemometer faced north, and the separation distance between the sonic anemometer and the CO2/H2O gas analyzer (CSAT3&Li7500A) was 0.17 m. Raw data acquired at 10 Hz were processed using the Edire post-processing software (University of Edinburgh, http://www.geos.ed.ac.uk/abs/research/micromet/EdiRe/), including spike detection, lag correction of H2O/CO2 relative to the vertical wind component, sonic virtual temperature correction, coordinate rotation (2-D rotation), corrections for density fluctuation (Webb-Pearman-Leuning correction), and frequency response correction. The EC data were subsequently averaged over 30 min periods. Moreover, the observation data quality was divided into three classes according to the quality assessment method of stationarity (Δst) and the integral turbulent characteristics test (ITC), which was proposed by Foken and Wichura [1996]: class 1 (level 0: Δst<30 and ITC<30), class 2 (level 1: Δst<100 and ITC<100), and class 3 (level 2: Δst>100 and ITC>100), representing high-, medium-, and low-quality data, respectively. In addition to the above processing steps, the half-hourly flux data were screened in a four-step procedure: (1) data from periods of sensor malfunction were rejected; (2) data before or after 1 h of precipitation were rejected; (3) incomplete 30 min data were rejected when the missing data constituted more than 3% of the 30 min raw record; and (4) data were rejected at night when the friction velocity (u*) was less than 0.1 m/s. On 25 August 2012, a RCD30 camera of Leica Company boarded on the Y-12 aircraft was utilized to obtain the optical remote sensing data. RCD30 camera has a focal length of 80 mm and four bands including red, green, blue and near-infrared bands. The absolute flight altitude is 5200 m and ground sample distance is 6-19 cm. The product includes TIF images and exterior orientation elements.

The data set contains cosmic ray instrument (CRS) observations from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016.The station is located in gansu province zhangye city da man irrigated area farmland, under the surface is corn field.The longitude and latitude of the observation point are 100.3722e, 38.8555n, and 1556m above sea level. The bottom of the instrument probe is 0.5m from the ground, and the sampling frequency is 1 hour. Original observations of cosmic ray instruments include: voltage Batt (V), temperature T (c), relative humidity RH (%), pressure P (hPa), fast neutron number N1C (hr), thermal neutron number N2C (hr), fast neutron sampling time N1ET (s) and thermal neutron sampling time N2ET (s).The data published are processed and calculated. The data headers include Date Time, P (pressure hPa), N1C (fast neutron number/hour), N1C_cor (fast neutron number/hour with revised pressure) and VWC (soil volume moisture content %). The main processing steps include: 1) data filtering There are four criteria for data screening :(1) data with voltage less than and equal to 11.8 volts are excluded;(2) remove the data of air relative humidity greater than and equal to 80%;(3) data whose sampling interval is not within 60±1 minute are excluded;(4) the number of fast neutrons removed changed by more than 200 in one hour compared with that before and after.In addition, the missing data was supplemented by -6999. 2) air pressure correction According to the fast neutron pressure correction formula mentioned in the instrument instruction manual, the original data were revised to obtain the revised fast neutron number N1C_cor. 3) instrument calibration In the process of calculating soil moisture, N0 in the calculation formula should be calibrated.N0 is the number of fast neutrons under the condition of soil drying. The measured soil moisture (or through relatively dense soil moisture wireless sensor) m (Zreda et al. Here, according to Soilnet soil water data in the source area of the instrument, the instrument was calibrated to establish the relationship between soil volumetric water content v and fast neutrons.Selection of dry and wet conditions are the obvious difference of June 26, 2012-27 and July 16-17, four days of data, including June 26-27 rate data showed that soil moisture is small, so the selection of 4 cm, 10 and 20 cm as the rate of the three values of average data, its range is 22% 30%, and July 16-17 rate data showed that soil moisture is bigger, so select 4 cm and 10 cm as two value average rate data, the range of 28% - 39%, final N0 an average of 3597. 4) soil moisture calculation According to the formula, the hourly soil water content data were calculated.
