Based on the data of downscaling results in the precipitation historical period of CMIP5 (Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5), the combined Method of geographical weighted regression and HASM (High Accuracy Surface Modeling Method) was used to analyze the annual mean precipitation in the future three periods of 2011-2040, 2041-2070 and 2071-2100 in the scenario of rcp2.6, rcp4.5 and rcp8.5. Through downscaling simulation and prediction, the 1km downscaling results of the multi-year average precipitation in the three periods of 2011-2040, 2041-2070 and 2071-2100 are obtained.

The distributed eco hydrological model needs high-precision precipitation spatial distribution information as input. Due to the scarcity of stations, the station interpolation precipitation can not reflect the spatial distribution of precipitation in Heihe mountain area. The regional climate model (RCM) simulation results provide the information of precipitation elevation relationship at different locations. The relationship is corrected according to the observed precipitation elevation gradient of hulugou watershed, and the precipitation elevation gradient at different locations of the watershed is obtained. Based on the gradient and the multi-year average value of precipitation observed at the station, the precipitation climate background field is established to represent the multi-year average spatial distribution of precipitation in the basin. Then, based on the daily precipitation observation data of 16 meteorological stations and 25 hydrological stations, and the precipitation spatial distribution information provided by the precipitation climate background field, the daily grid precipitation data is obtained by interpolation. The interpolation year of this data is 1960-2014, the spatial interpolation precision is 3-km, and the time precision is day by day data (the daily period is from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next day). The results show that the interpolation precipitation is reliable. The data is stored in ASCII file. The file name of each file is in the form of precyyyymmdd.asc. Yyyy is the year, mm is the month and DD is the day. Each ASCII file represents the grid precipitation data of the day, in mm.

The dataset of the truck-mounted dual polarized doppler radar observations (time-continuous 10-minute on the 250m×250m horizontal grid) was obtained in the arid region hydrology experiment area from May 20 to Jul. 5, 2008. The observation site (38.73°N, 100.45°E, 1668m) was typical of complex underlying surface and transit zone landscapes. The aim was to explore and retrieve precipitation type and intensity by radar in cold regions, with the precipitation particle drop size analyzer and ground intensive measurements occurring simultaneously, thus making it possible to produce a high resolution precipitation dataset. The 714XDP X-band dual-linear polarization Doppler weather radar was with a horizontal resolution of 150 m, an azimuth resolution of 1, VCP from 10-22 layers and the scanning cycle 10 minutes. ZH, ZDR and KDP could be acquired together. For more details, please refer to Readme file.

Precipitation is one of the elements of meteorological monitoring and a measurement basis of regional precipitation. Precipitation is the only source of water for plants’ survival in mountain areas. Therefore, precipitation is the main link of the forest hydrological cycle. This data only provides precipitation of the Pailugou watershed during the growing season.

Interaction "heihe region in field observation experiment (HEIFE)", is in the heihe river basin in hexi corridor in the middle of a 70 km by 90 km range of experimental zone for the center with water and heat exchange of a very comprehensive experiment, the interaction is the current international field the longest continuous observation on the land surface process experiment, has obtained the Eurasia hinterland typical in heihe river basin, gobi desert and oasis in arid regions different underlaying surface, such as solar radiation, atmospheric boundary layer meteorological data and oasis of meteorological data, and collect the conventional meteorological and hydrological data in the region,It has laid the foundation of observation experiment for theoretical study of land surface processes in arid areas. The heihe experimental database (HDB) (tao zehong and zuo hongchao, 1994a) comprehensively collected and systematically integrated the field observation data of heihe experiment. In the database, all observation data are divided into three categories according to the nature and purpose of observation: Category 1: normal observation period (FOP) data.It includes :(1) observation data of 5 micrometeorological stations and 5 automatic meteorological stations;(2) groundwater level data observed at four well stations;(3) distribution of blowing sand and dust and ozone observation data;(4) conventional observation data of 3 upper-air weather stations, 3 surface weather stations, 4 hydrology stations, some rain measuring stations and downhole water stations. The second category: enhanced observation period (IOP) data.It includes: observations of turbulence, tethered balloons, Sodar, Lidar, soil moisture content and composition during each strengthening period (PlOP, IOP-1, lop-2, IOP-3, IOP-4). The third category is special observation period data, which includes: biological meteorological observation (BOP), precipitation mechanism observation (iop-r) in arid areas, turbulence contrast observation (iop-c), supplementary observation data of deserts far from the oasis (iop-da) and observation data of sand sample experiment. Please refer to HEIFE database user manual for more detailed information (tao zehong et al., 1994b).

1. Data overview: This data set is the scale artificial evaporation dish and precipitation data of qilian station from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. The artificial evaporator is a 20cm standard evaporator, and the precipitation is a 20cm standard rain gauge. 2. Data content: (1) the evaporation capacity is measured at 20:00 every day with 20 special measuring cups;It is before a day commonly 20 when measure clear water 20 millimeter with special measure cup (original quantity) pour into implement inside, 24 hours hind namely in the same day 20 hour, again measure the water inside implement (allowance), its reduce quantity is evaporation quantity.Namely: evaporation = original quantity - residual quantity. If there is precipitation between 20:00 of the previous day and 20:00 of the same day, the calculation formula is: evaporation = original quantity + precipitation - residual quantity. (2) precipitation is generally observed in two stages, namely once at 8 o 'clock and once at 20 o 'clock each day. In the rainy season, observation periods are increased, and additional measurements are needed when the rainfall is large. The daily rainfall is divided into 8 a.m. of each day, and the precipitation from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m. of the next day is the precipitation of the current day.If it is rain, measure it with 20 special measuring cups. When it snows, only use the outer tube as snow bearing equipment, and then weigh it with an electronic balance (shenyang longteng es30k-12 type electronic balance, the minimum sensible amount is 0.2g). 3. 1. Data overview: This data set is the scale artificial evaporation dish and precipitation data of qilian station from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011.The artificial evaporator is a 20cm standard evaporator, and the precipitation is a 20cm standard rain gauge.
