CAS FGOALS-f3-H and CAS FGOALS-f3-L outputs for the high-resolution model intercomparison project simulation of CMIP6(2015-2050)

CAS FGOALS-f3-H and CAS FGOALS-f3-L outputs for the high-resolution model intercomparison project simulation of CMIP6(2015-2050)

CAS FGOALS-f3-H, with a 0.25° horizontal resolution, and CAS FGOALS-f3-L, with a 1° horizontal resolution, were forced by the standard external conditions, and two coordinated sets of simulations were conducted for 1950–2014 and 2015–50 with the Experiment IDs of ‘highresSST-present’ and ‘highresSST-future’, respectively. The model outputs contain multiple time scales including the required hourly mean, three-hourly mean, six-hourly transient, daily mean, and monthly mean datasets.

File naming and required software

All are stored in netcdf format. FGOALS-f-L and FGOALS-f-H folders are simulation results of low resolution and high resolution modes respectively/ The data in the FGOALS - f3-H/highresSST - present/r1i1p1f1/folder are the historical simulation results of the high-resolution mode from 1950 to 2014 (the data in the folders E1hr, day, Amon, 6hrPlevPt and 3hr are the results of the 1-hour average, daily average, monthly average, 6-hour instantaneous and 3-hour average respectively),/FGOALS - f3-H/highresSST - future/r1i1p1f1/folder are the future prediction results of the high-resolution mode from 2015 to 2050. See Table 1 in Bao et al. (2020) for details.
