30m resolution burned area products over the Tibetan Plateau (1980s-2019)


The dataset is the 30m resolution burned area product from 1980s to 2019 over the Tibetan Plateau. The dataset is produced using Landsat time series land surface reflectance and machine learning algorithm, and the overall accuracy is over 90%. It can provide data product support for the research and applications in fire monitoring, carbon emission studies, ecological environment monitoring, global change research and other fields.


File naming and required software

The burned area data product uses longitude and latitude projection, with a spaital resolution of 0.00025 ° (about 30 meters), and is stored in GeoTIFF format in 5 ° x 5 ° blocks. The file name is the latitude and longitude of the pixel in the upper left corner of the block image. For the pixel value, 1 represents the burned area pixel, and the null value represents the non burned area pixel.
