Comprehensive observation data set of severe convection and lightning in Lhasa (2019-2021)

Observation data of atmospheric average electric field and ground meteorological elements of Thunderstorm Activities in Lhasa from 2019 to 2021, including continuously monitored atmospheric average electric field intensity and polarity per second / minute, precipitation per minute, wind speed, air temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure and other meteorological elements, as well as equipment status parameters. The data comes from the field observation experiments of severe convection and lightning disasters carried out in Lhasa urban area from 2019 to 2021. The data can be applied to the study of severe convection and lightning disasters in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau.

The observation and data acquisition shall be carried out in strict accordance with the instrument operation specifications. Measurement accuracy of atmospheric average electric field: ± 5% × Measured value + 8V / M offset; Measurement accuracy of air temperature, Rh, wind speed and wind direction: ± 0.1 ℃, ± 0.8%, ± 0.3m/s and ± 3 º; Precipitation measurement accuracy: ± 1% (≤ 10mm / HR), ± 3% (10 ~ 20mm / HR), ± 5% (20 ~ 30mm / HR)

Atmospheric pressure measurement accuracy: ± 0.3hpa @ 20 ℃, ± 0.6hpa @ 0 ~ 40 ℃, ± 1.0hpa @ - 20 ~ 45 ℃, ± 1.5hpa @ - 40 ~ 60 ℃.

File naming and required software

The data of atmospheric electric field and meteorological elements are stored in txt mode. The name of the file is ①_ ②_ YYYY-MM-DD_ ③_* SEC, where ① is the data type. For example, surface e represents the atmospheric electric field data, and meteorology represents the observation data of supporting automatic weather stations; ② Is the test site, LS means "Lhasa"; Yyyy-mm-dd respectively represents the time of data detection: year, month and day. For example, 2020-07-13 represents July 13, 2020; ③ For time resolution, 1sec represents the data sampling interval of 1s seconds, and 60sec represents the data sampling interval of 60 seconds. For example:
SurfaceE_ 2019-08-10_ 1Sec. Txt indicates that the atmospheric electric field data per second detected by the atmospheric electric field instrument in Lhasa from 00:30:00 to 23:59:59 on August 10, 2019, which is the direct detection data.
SurfaceE_ 2019-08-10_ 60Sec. Txt indicates that the atmospheric electric field data per minute detected by the atmospheric electric field instrument in Lhasa from 00:30:00 to 23:59:59 on August 10, 2019 ,which is obtained by calculating the average value of the electric field data per second in the equipment.
Meteorology_ 2020-07-01_ 60Sec. Txt indicates: from 00:30:00 to 23:59:59 on August 10, 2019, Lhasa adopts the meteorological element data per minute detected by the automatic weather station configured with the atmospheric electric field instrument, which is the direct detection data.
See the file format description document for the data reading method.
