Homogenized solar radiation data set over Japan (1870-2015)

Homogenized solar radiation data set over Japan (1870-2015)

This dataset includes the observed surface incident solar radiantion, and sunshine duration derived soalr radiation, and their homogenized series at 156 meteorological stations in Japan from 1870 to 2015. According to Yang's method, the surface solar radiation is calculated from the observed sunshine duration hours, and then the breakpoints of unnatural factors in the data series are adjusted by RH test homogenization method, so as to obtain the regional homogenized monthly solar radiation data set in Japan.

File naming and required software

File naming: data is stored in text format, and each site corresponds to a text. The file is named "XXXXX. TXT", where xxxxx is the WMO station ID of the site. Station_ Information.tx records the WMO ID and longitude of the site( °)、 Latitude( °) And elevation (m) information.
Data reading mode: all files in the data set can be directly opened by text program (such as Notepad), the first column is year, the second column is month, the third column is the observed surface solar radiation data, the fourth column is the sunshine duration derived solar radiation, the fifth column is the homogenized series of the third column and the sixth column is the homogenized series of the foruth column. The data default value is set as NaN.
