There are two kinds of references: 1) the citation of the dataset and 2) related literature. A formal citation of the dataset must be used in the reference section of your publication if you use data from the National Tibetan Plateau Data Center. The related literature is suggested to be cited when using the data. The appropriate citations can be found on the landing page and in the documentation for each dataset and can be copied and pasted into your documents. Please include the "National Tibetan Plateau Data Center" in the acknowledgements.
How to cite:
We use the following dataset as an example to illustrate the citation format:"Monthly surface water extent dataset for Tibetan Plateau and central Asia (2000-2015)".
Data citation format in a publication:
Author's Name. Title of Dataset. National Tibetan Plateau Data Center, Year of Publication. DOI.
